Laundry detergent is far from the cheapest thing to buy. Even the off brands cost an arm and a leg nowadays. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could make your own at home and not only save money but know exactly what is in your laundry detergent?
Guess what… You can!
My gentleman friend shared his mamas recipe for DIY Laundry Detergent with me and now I’m going to share it with you.
- 2 bars Fels-Naptha (grated fine)
- 1 small bottle purex crystals
- 1 4 pound 12 oz box borax detergent booster
- 1 55 oz. box arm & hammer super washing soda
Mix well to combine all the ingredients in a large, sealable container.
When you’re ready to do laundry use 2 tablespoons per load.
