I don’t know anyone who doesn’t strive for financial freedom – freedom from debt, freedom to spend, and freedom to retire. It’s the long sought after dream, but before you can achieve financial freedom, you need to get your financial confidence. By taking SunTrust’s The onUp Challenge – taking control of your money matters and prioritizing spending are attainable goals. The path to financial confidence is paved here with good advice.
I signed up for The onUp Challenge and can honestly say I have a much better idea of what I need to do to get to where I want to be. The first step was the Values Challenge, which is where you define the things that are most important in your life. For me, the most important things are family and friends, because I feel without them nothing else really matters. At the end of the day, when you achieve something, who do you want to share it with? Being able to spend more time with the ones who matter most has always been a dream of mine since many of my closest friends don’t live very close at all.
The next part of the challenge is exploration. Specifically, exploring the seven lands within The onUp Challenge. Each land is designed to guide you through a specific financial decision, from saving to buying a home. I spent a lot of time checking out Confidence Clearing: Start your savings, and it was very insightful. I particularly enjoyed the Crush Your Savings calculator, which lets you decide how much you want to save and for how long. It’s great to see the potential, quite exciting actually!
Do you know what an FCA is? I sure didn’t, at least not until I checked out the Your FCA, Your Future section. It’s basically an emergency fund that I need to get started ASAP and now I know how. Do you have a financial confidence account yet?
I’m feeling pretty confident after exploring the onUp Challenge at onUp.com, and can’t wait to put the tools and knowledge I’ve gained to use. Who knows, maybe this time next year I’ll be exactly where I want to be. I definitely have the information to get there and there’s still a lot to learn. I love how the onUp Challenge uses Mind Mapping Activities to help you feel accomplished. You should really check it out. , head over to onUp.com to start your journey to financial confidence.
