I’ve taken more than a few rides on the diet roller coaster and always get derailed. Over the years I’ve realized that I’m not cut out for counting carbs or sacrificing the things I love. When I try I just end up disappointed in myself and that’s never a good feeling. I still want to lose weight, but I want to do it without making myself feel like a loser. So, I decided to try a diet plan I’ve seen so many others have success with- Weight Watchers®.
Weight Watchers has been around for as long as I can remember. Over the years the program has undergone some changes, and the latest is by far my favorite. The new Freestyle™ program has many zero Points® foods, making it possible to enjoy more delicious recipes and foods. And the best thing about Weight Watchers that I’ve found so far is that you don’t have to count calories or avoid carbs, you just need to keep track of what you’re eating each day. And, since Weight Watchers offers so many smart options, it’s extremely easy to follow the plan.
Something else to love about Weight Watchers is you don’t need to spend a fortune in the health food store to stick to the program. In fact, Walmart is a great place to stock up on everything you need, including Weight Watchers endorsed products like Flatout® Flatbread, JOLLY TIME® Healthy Pop® Popcorn, Weight Watchers® Ice Cream Novelties, and Arnold® Sandwich Thins rolls. You’ll even find the Weight Watchers® Scales by Conair® in the housewares section!
I feel confident in my ability to stick with the Freestyle® program thanks to all the delicious foods I get to enjoy. Here’s a peek at one of my days on Weight Watchers.
Breakfast – a protein shake, green smoothie, or some fruit generally. Some mornings I’ll grab a muffin or some oatmeal.
Lunch – a 2 Freestyle points turkey breast wrap. It has just the right amount of veggies and meat to be perfectly stuffed and the Light Italian Flatout® Flatbread is amazing! Other days I’ll make mini pizzas using the Flatbread, or even tortilla chips!
If I’m worried I won’t be satisfied with just a wrap I grab a pack of JOLLY TIME® Healthy Pop® Popcorn and I have the perfect lunch. I can usually split the bag between lunch and an afternoon snack and be fine all day, and each bag has a 3 SmartPoints® value per serving.
Dinner: Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad is one of those things I can eat all day, every day. I absolutely love it and with the Freestyle program, I can enjoy it guilt free! I use a light Caesar dressing and fresh grated Parmesan.
Dessert: Weight Watchers Ice Cream novelties are possibly the best store-bought ice cream novelties I’ve ever eaten. The Giant Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream Bars are so creamy and delicious it feels like cheating with every bite. They’re only 4 points each, and there are many other varieties available as well. Just check the ice cream aisle at Walmart.
At no point during the day do I find myself hungry, and when I crave something, chances are I can eat it! Weight Watchers has truly changed how I look at dieting and I can’t wait to go even further with the program.
