A few weeks ago I was relaxing, not paying attention to the time or the TV. My brother came over and wanted to know what was wrong with me. “You’re slacking, Amber”. It took a few minutes to realize what he was talking about, then it all snapped into place. The game was coming on and I wasn’t anywhere near prepared for it!
Now, I grew up a die-hard football fan. With 3 brothers it was hard not to. It doesn’t matter if it’s professional or college football – if there’s a game on I’m expected to not only watch it but to entertain the random people who happen to drop in to watch with us. Thus, the story of my life. Just kidding, there are more things than just football, but it is a big part of who I am. Luckily I had made a trip to Sam’s Club and knew just what to do to. I pulled out the Red Baron Deep Dish Singles and Minis and tossed them in the oven (I did wait for it to preheat).
While they were cooking I tossed together a simple tomato and spinach salad, broke out the chips, and tossed some drinks in the freezer to chill them quickly.
Even though everything was thrown together last minute, I didn’t want it to seem that way. I decided to set up a little toppings bar so that everyone could have their Red Baron Minis and Deep Dish Singles just how they wanted them. It was the perfect way to keep my hostess with the mostest status, at least until the next game day rolls around.
I swear, if it wasn’t for the convenience of Sam’s Club I would have been dubbed the water girl for the duration of football season. No one likes the water girl and they don’t get the best treatment. Not to mention I saved a ton on the Red Baron Deep Dish Singles and Red Baron Minis. I had plenty of delicious ooey gooey cheesy pizza to serve (12 singles and 32 minis!) and everyone got to customize their own!
