So, I’m sitting here today trying to be productive and it’s just not happening. Every time I try to think a song pops in my head. Not always the same song, but all from the same movie, Pitch Perfect. That movie is like a drug to me. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched it or made others watch it. It’s borderline kidnapping sometimes; lock the door and blockade the exits and project it on every wall types of crazy.
I haven’t actually done that…
but only because I don’t own a projector.
I don’t want to watch it though. That’s a lie. I always want to watch it, but I don’t want to want to watch it.
Does that make sense?
I want to be productive.
I would love to get some work done.
I need to pay my bills!
All of those should take precedence over a movie, but my brain is telling me I must watch Pitch Perfect. Why else would I be sitting here belting out “… for all we know, we might not get tomorrow, let’s do it tonight! ….Grab somebody sexy tell ’em hey...” bouncing around in my chair while my fur babies look at me like I’ve lost it?
I won’t say it’s my favorite movie of all times, that would be The Lost Boys, but it’s at the top of movies I’ve seen more than 20 times.
I know a lot of people are just eh about it, or worse – they haven’t seen it at all. So, I’m going to make something out of this obsession and put together a list of reasons Pitch Perfect is an underappreciated movie. Be sure to let me know what you think of Pitch Perfect by leaving a comment.
You can help by answering a question: If you don’t like or haven’t watched Pitch Perfect, why?
Of course, if you love it anywhere near as much as I do I’d love to hear from you too! What makes you love Pitch Perfect?
