While you’re planning how to spend the final weeks of summer I have some skin pampering essentials I want to tell you about. Crabtree & Evelyn sent me 3 of their must-have products that are the perfect size for your carry-on or overnight bag.
Any type of weather can wreak havoc on your skin and for me, the worst is dry weather and sun exposure. My skin tends to dry out quickly and that leads to a slew of skin issues. Dry, cracking skin not only looks bad, but it feels bad too. The Crabtree & Evelyn products I’m about to tell you about are designed to moisturize, heal, and condition. They also smell amazing and last incredibly long.
Caribbean Island Wild Flowers Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy ($9)
The details: Don’t let summer travel dehydrate your hands. Keep this hand therapy cream in your travel bag to apply to hands for instant moisture and hydration. Infused with macadamia nut oil, shea butter, and aloe, this intensive cream nourished skin so it is instantly smoother. Refreshing fruity, floral notes of wild island flowers and night blooming jasmine will keep your mind on island time.
My opinion: Caribbean Island Wild Flowers Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy is rich and creamy and a little goes a long way. I could instantly feel my hands becoming smoother as I was rubbing it in, and there was no residue left behind. The aroma is clean and slightly fruity, but it’s not strong. While the moisturizing effect lasts a long time, the scent does not. That’s fine for me since my hands need hydration more than they need to smell nice.
Gardeners Intensive All-Purpose Balms ($10)
The details: Cure dry skin patches and heal scrapes and scratches while traveling, with this botanical-infused, rich, healing balm. Herbaceous and botanical notes of cloverleaf, eucalyptus, and rosemary lift the senses, while shea butter and beeswax soothe and moisturize chapped skin.
My opinion: I love this stuff! I have been using it a lot on the second knuckles of my hands. They tend to dry out worse than the rest of my hands and crack often. It makes it painful to type and text which isn’t good at all. The Gardeners Intensive All-Purpose Balm took the stinging pain and most of the redness away almost immediately. I can see it being an excellent sunburn relief and it’s definitely a must-have wherever you go.
La Source Hydra Marine Nourishing Oil ($36)
The details: Condition hair, face, and body with this one multi-purpose, miracle-worker product. Lightweight and non-greasy, this three-in-one dry oil features a replenishing blend of refined oils, antioxidant-rich Green Seaweed extract, and Blue Sea Lavender, to leave skin and hair supple and satiny soft.
Spray on hair and leave in for a deep conditioning treatment, or work into ends to soften and shine.
For silky soft, hydrated skin, spritz onto dampened face and body and massage.
My opinion: I love that La Source Hydra Marine Nourishing Oil has multiple uses. It keeps the clutter down which gives you more space for things you need (like the 10-pound makeup bag and the secret candy bar you keep stashed in your purse.) I use this on my hair more than my skin and love the effect. It doesn’t make hair look greasy at all, but it does add a healthy-looking shine that most women would kill for! I couldn’t believe how quickly it softened my hair, which is one of the main reasons I love this. It doesn’t have a strong scent to it, but the scents that are apparent are clean and subtle. Yet another must-have product from Crabtree & Evelyn!
